LOST!!!

Had an unforgettable Christmas evening yesterday. Popped over to Bjorn's place for the Christmas dinner which his mum had prepared for us. It was absolutely fabulous and we were stuffed after a second round of helpings.

Thomas called and he popped by later to hang out and also had a taste of the food even though he had dinner at home.

After that, I went over to Eugene's place to meet him for some shopping at Mustafa shopping centre. Had an incident that needed to take place in his home, so we took a while there. After that, we proceeded to pick up an unusual guest, Cavin. Then we went to the shopping centre.

Bought some stuff and I think we were all quite satisfied with our purchases. We went to Jalan Kayu for some food before splitting for home. On the way there, Eugene was so engrossed in talking to Cavin that he scrapped the right side of his bike against the kerb which was narrowing. Sparks flew and I thought he was going to go down for sure by the way he was wobbling out of control. Luckily, he managed to re-gain control and we managed to reach our destination safely. After a round of food, we went home separately.

Here is where all hell broke loose. I had a friend who left his KTM200 in my care for servicing and the bike was parked, locked and covered with a bike cover around noon time.

When I came home from shopping at 4.30am, the bike was nowhere to be seen. I looked around the whole car park and the bike was nowhere to be found. I called Faz immediately to confirm the lot he had parked his bike and we decided it was really stolen. I dropped my stuff at home and went to pick him up at his place.

Reached his place about 5.45am. I was quite tired and angry that the bike was
missing. After reaching my car park, the lost bike was miraculously found in the same parking lot and we also found the broken lock and bike cover in the nearby dustbin. The lock had been cut by a professional cutter, so we suspect the fella is either staying nearby or had planned to steal the bike.

We concluded the idiot was incompetent to start the bike, so he parked the bike back at its original lot.

Fixed up the bike with my old lock and we shoot straight to Mustafa shopping centre to get the disc locks which I told Eugene not to buy earlier. Came home and locked the bike once more, feeling tired and all. Then we had breakfast and my friend went home by MRT afterward.

What a way to spend the boxing day morning. We were glad that the thief had moved the bike back to the original lot and the bike wasn't missing anything after that. Also, the incident reminded us that we must never take the security of our bikes for granted and in fact, anything else that is of great importance to us.
