For this weekend, it wasn't too bad.
Had school on Friday night since the 18 weeks allocated will not be enough to cover the 20 lessons needed.
On Saturday, I went to pick up yet more stuff for the shadow and meet Eugene to go see bike after he went to get a paintball mask and book a session for his colleagues to play at red dynasty.
Before I left home, my mum asked me about the bikes I am looking at and how come I never get a nice bike that I can ride for long instead of buying and selling bikes all the time. Told her I got no money to buy a good bike now, so have to ride something cheap till I can afford one. She offered to lend me money first since she had some savings. I was very very touched. I also realised that my parents have always been there for me and I wanna do the same for them. The resolve to get a economical bike struck me hard and I decided on having a cub for now and save more money for the future.
Popped over to ASPhoon to pay installments for the spark z and to look for bike also. The usual salesman I deal with was not around so we decided to pop over M1 motoring in upp changi road since eugene needed to pay his installments there.
Spotted a wave in utter ruins which I would never have thought would bought but it was way cheaper that the ones at ASPhoon. Got the bike at $1.7k OTR. Things promised to change for me are front tires, full plastic covers, chain and sprockets, handlebar balancers, original seat, box, full engine service and bike washing. Can't wait to pick up the bike on Friday.
Met Bjorn for a kopi session before he picked up the shadow from my place to his. The seat was ruined by the evil cats at my place and I am so embarrassed to have the bike parked here and got them destroyed. Proceeded to work on the bike at his place while Bjorn went to study for his exams.
I worked on the bike trying to solve the relay issue till 7am in the morning. Crashed out on his sofa after keeping the stuff back into the house and woke up at 11am after giving his cat a good kick in my dreams.
Went to work on the bike some more and more or less finished a big part of the stuff to be done. Went home when Bjorn had to go to work and got home before the heavy rain hit Tampines.
Went to the usual mama shop to pick up cigarettes and while walking back, spotted a car with the same number plate as the BMW, so I decided to try my luck and bought the numbers 4848 and 8484 at $5 big each.
This is quite surpising since I seldom buy 4D and what was more surpising was the numbers actually opened but in different positions. It was 8448 in the starters. Another close combination would be 3838. Not too bad since I never had luck with 4D and they were never that close.
Anyway, now going for a kopi session with Eugene before calling it a night.

back to the relaxing weekends
Finally, we are back to enjoy a fairly relaxing weekend. Have been busy for the past 2 weekends to churn out the shadow400 which was here with me for lighting upgrades. There is still some work to be done but the bike is not here yet, so I am taking my time to relax aka sleep.
At work, I am getting along with my colleagues well and also went for a few training courses in the short time span. I think I'll stay around for a while and see what the company can offer me when my studies are done. Appreciation plays a very big part in keeping the current workforce from leaving.
At school, the stress is building up but since I am on day shift recently, the lessons are much more easily absorbed and digested since I do not need to chase after my classmates to teach me what they had learn the previous week. I hope this can keep up till I graduate from here.
ITE is not "its the end" but the lessons are still quite tough when u need to keep awake after a tiring day at work.
As for my ride, the XR4 has been sold. So currently riding the BMW to work till I get my own bike again (Thanks, Bjorn).

good news
After feeling bad about missing OT last weekend due to over sleeping, I got some good news at work today.
My cell leader came over to me and told me he was going to put in a recommendation for promotion, subjected to higher authority scrutiny. He had recognized my abilities and therefore the promotion was in view.
I was ecstatic about the recognition and the pay increment that comes with it. This is a good time too, since I am really mentally worn out from work and school. I am also glad to be able to meet his expectations.
